SOCIAL STUDIES
The Great State Race is on! Students will be quized every Wednesday on the location of specific states according to region. Once a students get a 100% for that region he/she will move on to the next region.
Our core focus this week is reading a map, and identifying key components of different maps. We will explore different types of maps in a "Station Rotation" hands on approach.
MATH
We received a special letter from Bruce Fairplay...He asked the students to help him analyze data and create different types of graphs. Students created and analyzed pictographs, bargraphs, line plots, and line graphs. Bruce has been impressed with our group of fourth graders! He said he will be sending us a new assignment soon.

READING
Students are reading an informational article this week called, "Animals Come Home to Our National Parks". The comprehension skill this week is: Main idea and supporting details. Students need to be familiar with their story and high frequency vocabulary words. A comprehension and sight HF vocabulary test will be given Friday.
SPELLING & GRAMMAR
Spelling and Grammar Test are given every Thursday.
